As you get older, you may be faced with more health conditions that need to be treated on a regular basis. As a result, it’s important to play an active role in your health care management. K-State Research and Extension adult development and aging specialist Erin Yelland says it’s important for older adults to completely understand why they’re taking a medication and how to take it properly. They should also be aware of potential side effects and how to properly dispose of any outdated or unused medications.
