Being physically active is one of the most important actions we can take to improve our health. The Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans provides recommendations for all ages to help foster normal growth and development and make people feel better, function better, sleep better, and reduce the risk of a number of chronic diseases. K-State Research and Extension nutrition specialist Sandy Procter says those benefits are easier to achieve when we make physical activity and healthy eating a habit.
Sound Living is a weekly public affairs program addressing issues related to families and consumers. It is hosted by Jeff Wichman. Each episode shares the expertise of K-State specialists in fields such as child nutrition, food safety, adult development and aging, youth development, family resource management, physical fitness and more.
