Research shows that those who take good care of themselves and make healthy lifestyle choices are healthier, happier, miss less work, and have lower healthcare costs. Health is one of K-State Research and Extension’s five Grand Challenges. The family and consumer sciences agent for the Walnut Creek Extension District, Erin Petersilie, is working with local health care and other professionals to create a culture of health for people in west central Kansas.
Sound Living is a weekly public affairs program addressing issues related to families and consumers. It is hosted by Jeff Wichman. Each episode shares the expertise of K-State specialists in fields such as child nutrition, food safety, adult development and aging, youth development, family resource management, physical fitness and more.
