March is National Nutrition Month. Each year, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics creates an annual campaign to help people learn about making informed foods choices and developing healthful eating and physical activity habits. K-State Extension assistant professor in the Department of Food, Nutrition, Dietetics and Health and state program leader in nutrition and health for youth and adults, Priscilla Brenes, says this year’s theme, Fuel for the Future, emphasizes eating with sustainability in mind.
Sound Living is a weekly public affairs program addressing issues related to families and consumers. It is hosted by Jeff Wichman. Each episode shares the expertise of K-State specialists in fields such as child nutrition, food safety, adult development and aging, youth development, family resource management, physical fitness and more.
