Financial literacy is defined as the ability to use knowledge and skills to manage financial resources effectively for a lifetime of financial well-being. There are several key terms that comprise what’s known as a personal finance ecosystem, including financial well-being – which K-State Research and Extension family resource management specialist, Elizabeth Kiss, (kish) says is the ultimate goal of financial education and financial capability.
Sound Living is a weekly public affairs program addressing issues related to families and consumers. It is hosted by Jeff Wichman. Each episode shares the expertise of K-State specialists in fields such as child nutrition, food safety, adult development and aging, youth development, family resource management, physical fitness and more.
