The start of a new year often brings a variety of resolutions: to be more active, improve our food choices or bolster our savings. However, Kansas State University child development specialist Bradford Wiles says strengthening the connection with their children is one of the best resolutions a parent can make. In fact, he advocates for parents to be intentional with kids.

Sound Living is a weekly public affairs program addressing issues related to families and consumers. It is hosted by Jeff Wichman. Each episode shares the expertise of K-State specialists in fields such as child nutrition, food safety, adult development and aging, youth development, family resource management, physical fitness and more.
